Key Responsibilities:- Contribute to the growth of the GCF corporate asset financing business for our core and target clients.
- Provide pricing input for financing trades and manage risk associated with Credit Repo, TRS, and new loan financing mandates.
- Provide input into transaction structuring to ensure facilities are within risk tolerance parameters.
- Help structure and execute financing trades related to a range of products, including bonds, loans, CLO, ABS, SRT, and CRE.
- Oversee and provide assistance where necessary to ensure all operational aspects of transactions are working as required to mitigate risk and satisfy client expectations.
- Review legal documentation alongside counsel to ensure documents accurately capture approved deal terms.
- Work closely with the Portfolio Credit team to monitor and manage the credit risk inherent in the book.
- Demonstrate a keen understanding of current and developing regulatory issues, as well as CIBC policies, guidelines, and procedures.
- Work in the spirit of transparency and collaboration with our partners in Capital Markets Risk Management, Treasury, Accounting, Tax, and Legal.
- Work effectively within CIBC's corporate governance practices and policies to ensure that all potential risks are appropriately addressed and that CIBC legal/reputational issues and shareholder objectives are covered.
- Financing professional with 5+ years of experience in Structured Credit and financing structures involving Repo, TRS, and credit agreements.
- Extensive knowledge of lending practices in Europe and European financing markets generally.
- Familiarity with CLO/ABS/SRT and structured credit assets.
This role operates within a normal office environment.
You need to be legally eligible to work at the location(s) specified above and, where applicable, must have a valid work or study permit.
