Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with SEN and SEMH needs, promoting their social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Assist teachers in delivering core subject material, adapting lessons to meet the needs of students with SEN and SEMH needs.
  • Develop and implement strategies to support students with SEMH needs, including behavior management and emotional regulation techniques.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to supporting students with SEN and SEMH needs.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behavior Support Plans (BSPs) for students with SEN and SEMH needs.

Requirements:

  • A graduate with a strong academic record (2:1 or 1st Class degree)
  • A passion for working with children and young people, particularly those with SEN and SEMH needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and parents
  • A 'can-do' attitude, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new situations
  • Previous experience working with children and young people, particularly those with SEN and SEMH needs
