Senior Azure Technical Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Azure Technical Consultant to join our team at Deerfoot IT Resources Limited. As a Senior Azure Technical Consultant, you will play a key role in delivering technical expertise to our clients, helping them to design, implement, and optimise their cloud infrastructure solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-Sales Support
    • Conduct technical discovery sessions with potential clients to understand their infrastructure and technology requirements
    • Prepare and deliver technical presentations and demonstrations of proposed solutions
    • Contribute to the development of proposals and solution designs
    • Provide technical expertise during client meetings and calls
    • Assist in estimating project scope, timelines, and resource requirements
  • Infrastructure Assessment and Design
    • Evaluate client's existing IT infrastructure and cloud services
    • Analyse data and diagnose issues to identify weaknesses, inefficiencies, and risks
    • Design hybrid cloud, virtualisation, and other infrastructure solutions to meet client needs
  • Implementation and Delivery
    • Collaborate with relevant teams to plan and execute infrastructure projects
    • Contribute to the implementation and configuration of solutions such as Microsoft 365, Azure, and VMware
    • Provide technical guidance and support during the rollout of new technologies
    • Train client staff on the use of new systems, processes, and IT tools
  • Ongoing Support and Optimisation
    • Provide 2nd and 3rd line technical support for complex infrastructure issues
    • Maintain and optimise storage, backup, and disaster recovery solutions
    • Conduct regular system health checks and performance audits
    • Update documentation and procedures as needed
Requirements
  • Proven experience in an Infrastructure IT or technology consulting role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and Azure cloud services
  • Experience with VMware vSphere and other virtualisation technologies
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience in pre-sales activities and client-facing roles
