Software Procurement Project Manager Opportunity at Transition Partners

Job Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned Procurement Specialist to lead the sourcing and acquisition of an off-the-shelf recruitment software solution for our client's division. As a key member of our team, you will collaborate with senior stakeholders to define project scope, conduct market research, and manage the entire procurement process from tender to contract finalisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Requirements Gathering: Identify and document software requirements in collaboration with stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Market Research: Conduct comprehensive research to evaluate potential suppliers and solutions, considering factors such as quality, cost, and suitability.
  • Tender Management: Lead and manage the full tender process, from preparation to vendor selection, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
  • Vendor Evaluation: Assess and compare vendors based on their ability to meet software requirements, technical capabilities, and pricing.
  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate terms and pricing to ensure favourable agreements that meet business needs.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal teams, including IT, finance, and business leaders, to ensure alignment throughout the project and effective communication.
  • Compliance and Reporting: Ensure all procurement activities comply with relevant policies and report on project progress to management, providing regular updates and insights.

  • Proven expertise in procurement and software acquisition
  • Strong project management skills, with experience in leading cross-functional teams
  • Technical understanding of software solutions and their applications
  • Excellent analytical and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders
  • Advanced research and market analysis capabilities, with the ability to evaluate complex data and make informed decisions
  • Experience collaborating with senior stakeholders, including business leaders and IT professionals
