Teaching Assistant Opportunity

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team at a forward-thinking school in Winchester. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students and contributing to their educational development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers with lesson delivery and small group activities, ensuring a smooth and engaging learning experience for students.
  • Provide targeted interventions and adapt materials to support students who require additional help, promoting their academic progress and confidence.
  • Help maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment, managing behaviour and promoting a culture of respect and empathy.
  • Aid in assessing and recording student progress, informing teaching strategies and contributing to the development of individualized learning plans.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities, supporting student engagement and growth, and fostering a sense of community within the school.

Requirements:

  • A degree in any subject or relevant experience with transferable skills, demonstrating a strong foundation for supporting students and teachers.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, enabling effective collaboration with colleagues and students.
  • An enthusiastic and proactive attitude towards education, with a commitment to making a positive impact on student outcomes.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic teaching environment, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection, with a willingness to meet all background safer recruitment checks, including an enhanced DBS on the update service.
