About the Role:

Lancashire County Council is seeking a committed individual to join their catering team at Kirklands St Helens Primary School, Preston. As a Catering Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, healthy meals for school children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the dining area for service, including setting up furniture and cleaning.
  • Assist in food preparation, cooking, and serving.
  • Maintain cleanliness of equipment and catering areas.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to work under pressure and use initiative.
  • Good customer care skills.
  • Previous catering experience desirable.

Working Hours/Days:

  • Monday to Friday.
  • Term time only.
  • 7.5 hours per week.
