Role Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aviation Maintenance Technician to join our team at AGS Airports. As an Aviation Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for delivering maintenance services of airport assets in a safe and cost-effective manner that meets the required quality standards and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance and Repair: Undertake planned or reactive maintenance work on engineering assets ensuring optimum serviceability, which meets agreed service levels and provides a trouble-free operational environment.
- Diagnosis and Fault Finding: Conduct maintenance diagnosis and fault finding on Electrical, Mechanical, and electronic assets associated with the airport.
- Task Execution: Undertake maintenance tasks outside of core skills, as required.
- IT System Utilization: Use prevailing AIAL IT and work management systems, such as FSI, to receive and close down work orders and enter accurate data.
- Record Keeping: Ensure all maintenance and engineering task records are updated in accordance with regulatory commitments.
- Safety and Compliance: Operate and promote working practices that ensure a safe working environment for self and others, contributing to the development of a safety culture, through participation in safety management systems, and adherence to mandatory regulations and safety procedures.
- Performance Improvement: Engage proactively in any work associated with delivering performance improvements within the engineering environment.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with customers and maintenance team colleagues on the progress of completing work.
- Training and Development: Work with others, including colleagues or apprentices, on a one-to-one basis to help them learn and develop their skills.
- Asset Management: Proactively upgrade skills to facilitate the maintenance and operation of new assets being delivered into service, ensuring they are maintained in a manner that keeps them performing at an appropriate level.
- Risk Assessment: Participate in task risk assessments and utilize them and method statements in the completion of all maintenance tasks, ensuring that the work is undertaken safely and meets the required specification.
- Security Management: Work with the AIAL Security Management Team to promote the Security Management System (SeMs) culture within the department and across the wider airport campus, with a focus on adherence to the principles within the AIAL Security Policy.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: Completed a recognized Engineering Apprenticeship in either Electrical, Mechanical, Electronic, or Building Services discipline.
- Framework and Boundaries: Work to promote the development and effective and efficient working of the AMA and all other related processes that underpin all maintenance work activities.
- Regulatory Compliance: The technician is required to work within a wide range of local business and external policies, procedures, and regulations when carrying out their role.
- Service Level Agreements: Maintenance of assets must meet the standards agreed in Service Level Agreements between the maintenance function and the business units and deliver the Key Performance Indicator's for the function.
- Contract Monitoring: Technicians may be required to monitor the work quality of contract maintenance providers.
