About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Carpenter to join our team at BD Group. As a Carpenter Multi Trader, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality installation, maintenance, and repair work across various commercial and residential projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Maintenance: Ensure exceptional service and client satisfaction by delivering high-quality installation, maintenance, and repair work.
  • Carpentry and Joinery: Expertly cut, shape, and smooth lumber and materials, assemble installations, and construct durable frameworks.
  • General Repairs and Refurbishments: Perform general carpentry and joinery tasks, including repairs and refurbishments, to meet client expectations.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with regulations and health and safety standards, and maintain accurate records of all work.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Build positive working relationships with clients, contractors, and employees, and leverage expertise in related trades to collaborate with other teams.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: A minimum qualification in Carpentry, such as City & Guilds or NVQ.
  • Experience: Proficient in carpentry and skilled in at least one other trade, with experience in a repairs environment, preferably in social housing.
  • Skills: Excellent understanding of Health and Safety regulations and procedures, proven ability to deliver high-quality construction projects, and excellent communications skills.
Working Arrangements
  • Working Pattern: 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
  • Location: Barking & Dagenham.
