About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Specialist to join our team at Clearline Recruitment Ltd. As a Tax Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the company's tax compliance and strategy are aligned with its business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage Tax Compliance: Oversee the preparation and submission of annual tax returns, including Pay as You Earn Settlement Agreements, with assistance from external providers.
  • Support Tax Governance: Contribute to ad hoc tasks, projects, and transactions related to tax governance, including issues related to tax policies and procedures.
  • Implement Global Tax Strategies: Assist in implementing global tax policies, including transfer pricing compliance and strategies, to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Manage Tax Compliance Processes: Collaborate with the in-house tax team, accounting shared services center, and external tax advisors to ensure timely and accurate tax filings, including corporation tax, VAT, and plastics tax.
  • Support Tax Reporting: Assist in managing the monthly group and annual statutory accounts reporting processes related to tax, ensuring adherence to all deadlines.
  • Provide Tax Guidance: Offer tax guidance, advice, and support on various tax matters across the business and the wider organization.
Requirements
  • Professional Qualifications: Hold professional qualifications in accounting and/or tax.
  • Experience: Have experience working in a multinational company, either in a tax function or finance role with tax exposure, or from an accounting and tax advisory firm.
  • Strong Understanding: Possess a strong understanding of corporation tax and VAT.
  • Transfer Pricing Experience: Have experience in transfer pricing, UK R&D, and Irish taxes.
  • Independent Work: Be able to work independently, following established guidelines and policies, with minimal supervision.
