Daily Responsibilities

Your day may begin with a reflective session, where you connect with a resident seeking guidance. This could involve:

  • Assisting residents in locating local agencies that specialize in substance use support.
  • Collaborating with support staff to facilitate group activities focused on financial responsibilities.
Key Attributes

In this position, you will embody the spirit of the community, playing a vital role in addressing the practical needs and overall wellbeing of residents. Your ability to:

  • Establish strong relationships with residents will be crucial, especially in managing challenging behaviors stemming from past experiences.
  • Utilize your personal experiences to provide peer support, helping residents develop essential coping strategies.
Work Schedule

This role requires a commitment of 15 hours per week, spread over two days within a supportive housing framework.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be:

  • Compassionate and non-judgmental, with a genuine passion for aiding individuals on their recovery paths.
  • Willing to undertake specialized training in peer support.
