Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the kitchen team in maintaining a clean and organized environment
  • Wash and sanitize dishes, pots, and pans
  • Assist with basic food preparation and presentation
  • Ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, dining rooms, and pantry areas
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Working Conditions:

  • 5 days out of 7, term time only
  • £12.75 per hour

About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Kitchen Porter. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our school's kitchen and dining facilities. If you are a team player who takes pride in their work and is happy to operate a large commercial plate/pot wash, we encourage you to apply.

Requirements:

  • No formal education is required, but a high school diploma or equivalent may be preferred

  • Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and sanitation practices is a plus
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
