Ford & Slater Limited: HGV Technician Vacancy

We are seeking a skilled HGV Technician to join our team at our Leeds dealership. As an HGV Technician, you will be responsible for servicing and maintaining a wide variety of trucks and vehicles, carrying out safety inspections, and preparing vehicles for MOTs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Servicing and maintaining trucks and vehicles to manufacturer specifications
  • Carrying out safety inspections and preparing vehicles for MOTs
  • Diagnosing and repairing faults in a safe and responsible manner
  • Participating in breakdowns and road testing vehicles when required
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working as a Technician/Mechanic in the HGV, Commercial Vehicle, LGV, PSV, Heavy Plant, Car, or associated sector
  • Qualified to Level 3 (C&G, NVQ, or equivalent) in Commercial Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
  • Excellent technical knowledge and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Full UK driving licence
