Job Title: Trainee Contracts Manager

Thorn Baker Construction is seeking a highly skilled Trainee Contracts Manager to oversee new build housing projects in the West Midlands.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and coordinate new build housing projects from inception to completion
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
  • Collaborate with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to achieve project goals
  • Monitor project progress and address any issues that may arise
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation and reports
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Requirements:
  • SMSTS certification
  • CSCS certification
  • First Aid certification
  • NVQ Level 6 or equivalent
  • Valid Driving Licence
Desirable Skills:
  • Strong understanding of construction project management processes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lead and motivate teams
  • Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Working Conditions:
  • Office-based work with frequent site visits
  • Travel within the West Midlands region required
