Job Title: Senior Contract Surveyor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Contract Surveyor to join our team at Bruton Knowles Limited. As a Senior Contract Surveyor, you will be responsible for delivering Compensation and Compulsory Purchase work to Transport and Utility clients in a reliable and cost-efficient manner.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Maximise fee income as a fee earner.
  2. Develop client management skills as a client manager.
  3. Ensure delivery of service to clients.
  4. Manage the utilisation of time for the team's benefit, maximising efficiency and optimising profitability.
  5. Deliver agreed budgets and targets.
  6. Negotiate compensation in accordance with client instructions.
  7. Procure new work instructions wherever possible.
  8. Assist in the delivery of agreed budgets and manage own performance.
  9. Attend training sessions and team meetings.
  10. Provide support to other offices as directed.
  11. Undertake CPO and compensation advice within BK.

Person Specification:

We are looking for a self-starter with good interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients. You should have a high level of attention to detail, be able to manage time effectively, and be willing to be part of a team.

Qualifications:

A formal qualification to degree level accredited by the RICS and qualified as a Member of the RICS is essential.

Essential Criteria:

  1. Ability to work in an organised and methodical fashion.
  2. Ability to learn new skills and working methods.
  3. Ability to accept responsibility and work on their own initiative.
  4. Willingness to undertake business development.
  5. Proactive approach to work.
  6. Ability to produce clear and concise written reports and recommendations.
  7. Ideally a minimum of 2 years PQE.
  8. A good working knowledge of IT is essential.
  9. A full driving licence is essential.
