Position Overview

We are looking for a Mechanical Team Leader to join our dedicated team at Gov Facility Services Ltd (GFSL). This role is crucial in ensuring the effective management and maintenance of mechanical systems within our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise a team of skilled tradespeople, including plumbers, electricians, and maintenance staff.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, including Water Supply Regulation and Control of Legionella L8.
  • Oversee the operation and maintenance of commercial and industrial heating and water systems.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Implement health and safety protocols to maintain a secure workplace.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of five years' experience in plumbing or a related field.
  • Relevant qualifications such as C&G 6035 and C&G 6189 in Plumbing and Heating, as well as NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
  • Up-to-date First Aid at Work qualification (desirable).
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Good knowledge of health and safety regulations.
