About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Renal Medicine Specialist to join our team at Barts Health NHS Trust. As a Consultant Nephrologist, you will play a key role in providing comprehensive care to patients with kidney disease and transplantation needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with renal disease and transplantation needs
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality patient care
  • Conduct clinical research and audits to improve patient outcomes
  • Provide education and training to undergraduate and postgraduate students
  • Participate in business planning and quality improvement initiatives
Requirements
  • Full registration with the GMC and be on the Specialist Register or be within 6 months of their CCT
  • MB BS or equivalent qualification
  • MRCP or equivalent qualification
  • Entry on the General Medical Council (GMC)
  • Certificate of completion of training (CCT) or Certificate of eligibility for specialist registration (CESR)
Desirable Criteria
  • Training in Peritoneal Dialysis
  • Able to undertake Native and transplant renal biopsies independently without supervision
  • Training in medical insertion of peritoneal dialysis catheters
  • Experience in managing patients with lupus
