Nuclear Waste Services (NWS) is a pioneering organization dedicated to making nuclear waste permanently safe, sooner. Our mission is to be the 'one-stop shop' for all radioactive waste management and disposal solutions for the UK.

We are a key part of the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA) group, working towards a collective long-term goal of cleaning up nuclear sites sustainably, safely, and securely.

Join Our Leadership Team

We are seeking a permanent HR Director to help us realize our vision. As a key member of our leadership team and the broader NDA group HR community, you will play a crucial role in inspiring and developing your HR teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspire and develop HR teams to ensure resilience, consistency, and quality while maintaining the ability to recruit, attract, retain, and develop great talent.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, including the NWS board, trades unions, regulators, and the NDA group, to deliver critical programmes and projects.
  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives and plans, with a focus on leading and successfully completing change programmes.

Requirements:

  • Professionally recognized HR qualification, underpinned by Chartered Membership of CIPD.
  • Operational HR leadership experience in a complex, multi-discipline/matrix style organization, requiring strong employee relations expertise.
