Night Shift Mechanical Fitter

A leading food manufacturing business in the Glasgow area is seeking a skilled Night Shift Mechanical Fitter to join their team.
Job Summary:We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Mechanical Fitter to work on our night shift. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing full support to the hygiene and engineering departments, working closely with the Engineering Team Leaders and Management.
Key Responsibilities:- Remove machinery components such as guarding and covers as required by hygiene and/or engineering.
- Ensure all remedial work/re-fitting is to a high standard and report any engineering electrical required follow-up work to Engineering Team Leaders and/or Engineering Management.
- Inspect and check all parts whilst covers are removed and report any damage or failed parts.
- Replace guards and components ensuring all required lubrication is completed, and all components are accounted for.
- Ensure all equipment change parts are accounted for and stowed in their locations.
- Have full responsibility for all components while working with on or usage until job completion.
- Assist with the removal of belts and components to allow hygiene to complete tasks.
- Competitive salary of £33,930.
- Overtime paid at x 1.5.
- Monday – Friday, 10pm – 7am.
