Design Engineer

Our client, a leading manufacturer of bioprocessing bags and single-use products, is seeking a skilled Design Engineer to join their team. As a key member of the product development team, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-quality products that meet the demanding needs of the biopharma and medical device industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop state-of-the-art bioprocessing bags and other single-use products and assemblies using specific software packages.
- Research and recommend optimal film materials and bag manufacturing equipment and processes.
- Create technical documentation for products in line with the NPI governance process, including technical files and project design and development records.
- Develop prototypes for testing in collaboration with Manufacturing Engineering and determine appropriate testing and process validation plans.
- Record and analyze data from product development testing and provide summaries/conclusions to the project team.
- Work with local and global validation teams to ensure products are fully validated according to industry standards.
- Support ongoing quality programs, including sterility and product testing.
Requirements:
- Qualification in Engineering and/or equivalent commercial experience within a similar role.
- Experience in the design and development of processing components and/or systems within the life sciences industry.
- Proficiency with design software packages.
