Position Summary

As a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a vital role in the Cloud Engineering team. Your main focus will be on designing secure and highly available infrastructure for the company's cloud-based offerings on AWS.

The team prioritizes automation and the implementation of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to facilitate rapid and effective deployments across various environments. You will contribute to these initiatives utilizing a range of technologies, including Terraform and Docker.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leverage Automation: Utilize infrastructure as code and automation techniques to deliver cloud services across multiple environments, from development to production.
  • Collaborate Effectively: Partner with product owners, developers, and testers to design and implement new services and features.
  • Ensure System Reliability: Maintain the availability, reliability, and security of systems and services.
  • Enhance Monitoring: Establish robust logging, monitoring, and alerting systems to swiftly identify and address issues.
  • Drive Automation: Promote the automation of workflows and work towards reducing technical debt.
  • Facilitate Knowledge Sharing: Share your expertise with the cloud engineering team through organized discussions and comprehensive documentation.

Requirements:

Experience: A minimum of 4-5 years in a Cloud Engineering role, ideally within an AWS environment; experience with other cloud platforms will also be considered.

Technical Proficiencies:

  • Strong understanding of Cloud Networking and DNS, including NAT and VPC.
  • Experience with API management, serverless computing, databases, logging, monitoring, and user identity management.
  • Proficient in infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, ARM templates, CloudFormation).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Octopus Deploy, TeamCity).
  • Experience with containerization technologies (Docker/Kubernetes) and version control systems.
  • Skills in scripting and automation (Bash/PowerShell/Python).
  • Background in database administration.

Soft Skills:

  • Ability to mentor and guide junior team members.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for troubleshooting and diagnosing issues.
