The company, Allied Healthcare, is a leading provider of temperature-controlled logistics services with a global presence of over 22,000 employees. As a business, they cater to major retailers, hospitals, schools, and restaurants, offering a range of services to support their operations.

As a Maintenance Engineer at Allied Healthcare, you will be responsible for performing reactive and preventative maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment. This will involve resolving breakdowns, reducing downtime, and improving plant reliability. You will also be expected to support the internal team in solving problems and work in a cold environment, with all necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) provided.

Key responsibilities of the Maintenance Engineer include:

  • Electrically qualified NVQ Level 3 or equivalent with mechanical experience
  • Experience of working with automation and PLCs
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team
  • Willingness to learn and improve your skillset
  • Ability to drive and travel to site
  • Ability to work at height and in a cold environment
  • Flexibility to work a continental shift pattern of 2 days followed by 2 nights on a 4 on 4 off rotation, working 07.00
