About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Onsite Engineer to join our Field Service Engineering team at CDW UK. As an Onsite Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support and services to our customers on-site, ensuring that their IT infrastructure is running smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support and services to customers on-site, including hardware and software troubleshooting, installation, and maintenance.
  • Customer Communication: Communicate effectively with customers to understand their technical requirements and provide timely updates on the status of their issues.
  • Escalation: Escalate complex technical issues to senior engineers or other teams as necessary to ensure timely resolution.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other teams, including Applications and Infrastructure, to ensure seamless delivery of technical services.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices in IT support to continuously improve technical skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Technical Expertise: Demonstrable skills and knowledge in relevant technology areas, including Windows 10 and 11, Active Directory, Group Policy Management, Microsoft 365 suite, and PowerShell scripting.
  • Experience: Previous experience in an on-site engineer role for a professional blue-chip organization, with a strong understanding of IT infrastructure and technical support.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
