We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to take on the role of Senior Advisor within the Protective Security Advisory Team (PSAT). In this capacity, you will provide comprehensive, impartial technical security counsel to Central Government and various clients. Your responsibilities will encompass detailed advisory services, transforming user needs into technical specifications, and conducting thorough system evaluations.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver expert advice on protective physical security measures.
- Possess extensive knowledge in physical security systems, with demonstrated experience in protective measures such as barriers, structures, locking devices, doors, and hostile vehicle mitigation (HVM). Familiarity with electronic security systems is also advantageous.
- Exhibit exceptional communication abilities to interface with clients and represent the organization at high-level meetings.
- Facilitate specialized technical security training for both internal staff and external clients as needed.
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills, with the capability to lead a small team when necessary.
- Manage financial aspects including estimating, job costing, invoicing, and budget oversight.
- Maintain a flexible work approach, willing to attend site meetings and travel as required.
- Possess a solid understanding of British, European, and Government security standards, along with knowledge of quality assurance and health & safety policies.
- Show a commitment to expanding knowledge in electronic security to enhance both personal and departmental capabilities.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Relevant qualifications such as ONC/OND/HNC/HND/Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent recognized qualification in physical security.
