About Our Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Paralegal to join our Planning team at Howard Kennedy. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with senior fee earners to provide expert support on a broad range of planning matters.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with planning due diligence, including buyer, seller, funder, and developer perspectives in real estate and corporate transactions.
  • Draft and review planning due diligence reports and replies in Certificates of Title.
  • Negotiate s106 agreements and draft planning provisions for contracts conditional on planning.
  • Assist with drafting planning warranties and indemnities into contracts of sale and purchase and option agreements.
  • Support planning appeals and judicial review proceedings.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Relevant work experience in a Paralegal role within a Real Estate department.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well within a team.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage your own workload within client deadlines.
  • A sound understanding of client confidentiality.
