We are currently advertising several roles within our Public Health team to help us build on early successes and expand our impact across Essex.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering and managing a range of interventions with our communities, requiring strong relationship management and organisational skills.
  • Working with voluntary and community sector partners, and communities, to deliver public health or related outcomes.
  • Supporting and leading on a range of large and small projects and activities, as well as maintaining business as usual activity and supporting an agile approach to resourcing.
  • Working to support several specific agendas and supporting Senior Managers on any number and combination of thematic programmes and projects dependant on strategic priorities.

Requirements:

  • Educated to degree level in a relevant subject or equivalent by experience with a demonstrable background in public health and/or communities.
  • Demonstrable evidence of building strong networks within a political environment, working effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, influencing partners, and managing change within a multi-stakeholder environment.
  • Organised, with a proven track record of managing and delivering projects successfully and on budget, whilst demonstrating breadth of thinking.
  • Experience of Asset Based Community Development, working with voluntary and community sector partners, and communities, to deliver public health or related outcomes.
  • Previous experience of community funding and commissioning community interventions from design through to monitoring and evaluation of commissioned services.
