Assistant Management Accountant Opportunity

Jarrold, a well-established Norfolk business, is seeking an experienced Assistant Management Accountant to support the Retail and Group Finance Business Partners. As a valued member of our team, you will have opportunities for further study and professional development as the Group continues to grow and diversify.

The Role:

  • As the new Assistant Management Accountant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth running of month-end processes and the wider finance function.
  • You will work closely with colleagues across the business to provide assistance with month-end accounts preparation, including preparing and posting journals, accruals, and prepayments.
  • You will support the budgeting and forecasting process, providing insight and analysis to improve outcomes and engagement with the business.
  • You will be responsible for controlling account reconciliations and assisting with intra-group reconciliations.
  • You will support the Financial Accountant with the VAT return process and undertake ad hoc project work and data analysis.
  • You will provide holiday cover for essential tasks when colleagues are away.

Requirements:

  • AAT level 3 qualified
  • Previous experience working in a management accounting role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Proficient in using Excel
