Clinical Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Adult Community to join our team at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for providing a comprehensive diagnostic histopathology service for the Trust, working closely with consultant colleagues to deliver high-quality patient care.
The post holder will be provided with the necessary IT equipment and access to training to meet the objectives of the role.
University Hospitals Birmingham is one of the largest teaching hospital trusts in England, providing services from four acute hospital sites and community locations.
Key Responsibilities- Provide a comprehensive diagnostic histopathology service for the Trust
- Work closely with consultant colleagues to deliver high-quality patient care
- Develop and implement effective laboratory procedures and protocols
- Contribute to the development of the Trust's histopathology service
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to patient care decisions
The successful candidate will have:
- Extensive experience in histopathology and diagnostic pathology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
