The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the annual structures inspection programme, scoping potential schemes, and producing briefs, designs, specifications, and contract documents. They will also be responsible for structural analysis and assessment of different forms of structure, primarily by manual calculation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Management of annual structures inspection programme.
- Scoping of potential schemes, production of briefs, designs, specifications, contract documents, procuring and supervising works on structures.
- Structural analysis/assessment of different forms of structure, primarily by manual calculation.
- Inspection and negotiation with applicants/developers and their professional advisers to ensure that their structures are built to suitable standards.
- Management and programming of projects to ensure they are delivered on time and on budget.
- Proficient use of computer software, particularly Microsoft Office.
- Hold a full valid driving licence for the UK or be able to travel to sites around the Borough in an efficient manner.
Previous experience in Highways structures is essential for this role.
