Job Title: Transportation Logistics Specialist

Location: Barrow-In-Furness (onsite)

Salary: £31,012

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute professional driving duties while ensuring accountability and delivering high-quality service to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Operate fleet vehicles safely, adhering to all company protocols and procedures.
  • Document and report any vehicle or equipment issues promptly.
  • Facilitate the secure transportation of goods within the site.
  • Maintain accuracy in inventory management as required.
  • Meet the established Service Level Agreements for transportation.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Essential:

  • PSV/D License
  • Fully Qualified CPC certification
  • Valid and up-to-date tachograph card

Desirable:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong communication abilities
  • Understanding of EU driving regulations

About the Logistics Operations Team:

Our Transport department is integral to supporting submarine programs, utilizing various vehicles to transport items ranging from small packages to large submarine sections. The role also involves transporting personnel to and from airports and hotels, often in collaboration with senior business stakeholders. We provide relocation support packages for eligible submarine roles.
