About the Role

University Hospital Southampton NHS Trust is seeking an IT Support Technician to join our Pathology IT team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing and analyzing clinical information, providing system support and testing, and developing applications to deliver frontline system support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the management and analysis of clinical information to deliver key reports for UHS pathology services.
  • Train and assist others with new queries and report design.
  • Advise the Operations Manager, Planning, Contracts and Finance Teams on all aspects of activity monitoring, data handling and quality.
  • Be responsible for the development, production and version control of Pathology Data Quality policies and procedures.
  • Occasional travel to other customer/service sites may be required.

Requirements

  • Degree in IT/Informatics/equivalent or equivalent knowledge/experience.
  • Intermediate MS Excel experience.
  • NHS data quality and management experience.
  • Pathology Informatics experience.
