Exciting Opportunity: D&T Teacher (Hard Materials) in Peterlee

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Design and Technology teacher to join our team at a secondary school in Peterlee. As a D&T teacher, you will be responsible for teaching KS3 and KS4 students and planning, delivering, and marking both practical and theory lessons.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach D&T to students of varying abilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging and challenging lessons
  • Mark and assess student work
  • Utilize state-of-the-art facilities and equipment
  • Engage in extracurricular activities
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Broad understanding of the Design and Technology curriculum with a specialism in one area of D&T
  • Hard materials specialism is desirable but not required
  • Excellent classroom management skills
  • Child-only DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply, with our assistance)
  • Two professional references from recent employment
