Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef to join our team at Northampton General Hospital NHS Trust. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality food services to our patients, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement menus that meet the dietary needs of our patients and staff
  • Lead a team of chefs and kitchen staff to ensure efficient and safe food preparation and service
  • Monitor and control food costs, inventory, and waste management
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide catering services for events and meetings
Requirements
  • City & Guilds NVQ Level 2 chef qualification or equivalent
  • Food Safety Level 2 certification
  • Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality food services
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
