  • Utilizing appropriate assessment techniques and methodologies tailored to individual patient needs, ensuring evidence-based practices are followed.
  • Clearly communicating with patients regarding their roles and responsibilities, while respecting their dignity and preferences, and facilitating shared decision-making.
  • Conducting thorough assessments in accordance with established clinical guidelines and protocols.
  • Monitoring patients throughout the assessment process and responding promptly to any significant changes or potential risks.
  • Maintaining accurate and comprehensive clinical documentation.
  • Engaging in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
  • Evaluating relevant data to determine the necessary assessments and prioritizing actions based on urgency and risk management.
  • Interpreting assessment results and taking appropriate actions when issues arise.
  • Utilizing systematic reasoning to reach justified assessments and effectively communicating outcomes to relevant parties.
  • Documenting diagnoses and treatment plans in alignment with professional standards.
  • Identifying patients whose needs exceed standard protocols and making timely referrals to appropriate specialists.
  • Staying informed on the latest developments in the field of nutrition and oncology.
  • Ensuring all equipment is functioning properly and addressing any issues as needed.
  • Contributing to policy and procedural enhancements within the department.
  • Participating in departmental initiatives and projects.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Membership with the British Dietetic Association (BDA).

Experience

Relevant prior experience in a clinical setting is essential for this position.
