About the Role

Ancala Water Services (Defence) Limited is seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our team. As an Electrical Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance and repair of our electrical assets are completed to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete planned and reactive electrical tasks within specified timescales, quality, and cost parameters.
  • Build and develop relationships with operational customers, colleagues, suppliers, and sub-contractors.
  • Work to improve the value, performance, and overall service of the Maintenance and Engineering (M&E) Team.
  • Identify follow-on work after completing planned or reactive tasks.
  • Work in a lean manner to minimize travel time and disruption to our customers.
  • Conduct risk assessments and create method statements where required to safely carry out maintenance activities.
Requirements
  • 18th Edition / C&G Level 3 / Electrical Engineering or equivalent time-served experience.
  • A background within an industrial asset maintenance setting is crucial for this role.
  • Ability to read panel drawings and fault find single or three-phase systems.
  • Experience with inverters, motors, and star delta systems.
  • Self-motivation with the desire to contribute positively and productively to the team.
  • Strong communication skills to allow you to keep colleagues and customers informed of job progress.
  • Willingness to take part in a regional on-call rota to provide out of hours response and support to customers.
  • Comfortable working under minimal supervision and travelling to sites in your area as required.
  • Ability to work as a problem solver who can respond well to conflicting and changing priorities.
Security Clearance

The successful candidate must meet the security clearance requirements for the role, which includes being a full-time resident of the UK for the past 5 years and having a valid driving license.

This role involves a varied amount of daily driving to and from sites and client bases, and there may be occasional overnight stays.
