Job Title: Plant Engineer

Location: Essex

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000

Job Overview:

First Military Recruitment is seeking a skilled Plant Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plant repair and maintenance, with the ability to diagnose and repair complex mechanical problems. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical problems on diesel-powered plant and vehicles.
  • Perform routine maintenance and servicing.
  • Complete weld repairs.
  • Test parts and systems to ensure they are working properly.
  • Use diagnostic tools to identify and resolve issues.
  • Communicate effectively with customers to explain mechanical problems and needed repairs.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed.

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience and qualifications, such as City and Guild or NVQ Level 3.
  • Experience in construction plant, diesel engines, electrics, hydraulics, transmissions, and other related areas.
