Position: Wildlife Fundraiser
About the Role
Join a leading organization dedicated to nature conservation and play a crucial role in our fundraising efforts. As a Wildlife Fundraiser, you will engage with the public to promote our mission and inspire support for our initiatives.
This position offers a unique opportunity to blend your passion for the environment with your interpersonal skills. You will be responsible for setting up fundraising stands at various locations, actively interacting with individuals, and raising awareness about our vital conservation work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Travel to different venues to establish fundraising stands.
- Engage with the public to communicate our conservation goals.
- Inspire individuals to become long-term supporters of our cause.
Training and Support:
No prior fundraising experience is necessary; comprehensive training will be provided to equip you with the knowledge needed to succeed in this role. You will also benefit from the use of a company vehicle, with all associated costs covered.
Work Schedule:
We offer flexible working arrangements, allowing you to choose between 3 to 5 days per week. Enjoy the stability of a fixed salary rather than commission-based pay, along with 34 days of annual leave, including public holidays.
Employee Insights:
Current team members appreciate the rewarding nature of the role, highlighting the fulfillment that comes from securing memberships and discussing their passion for wildlife.
Candidate Profile:
We are looking for individuals who possess:
- A genuine passion for conservation.
- The ability to meet targets.
- A valid UK driving license.
- A willingness to work weekends and travel.
- Comfort in working outdoors and independently.
- Experience in fundraising, sales, or customer service (desirable).
We value enthusiasm and storytelling abilities over specific past experiences. If you are ready to make a meaningful impact and contribute to a world richer in nature, we encourage you to consider this opportunity.
Inclusivity Commitment:
Our organization is dedicated to fostering an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and supported. We particularly welcome applications from individuals who identify as people of color or disabled, as we strive to enhance diversity within our team.
For more information about the application process, please refer to our candidate guidance notes.
