In light of our recent expansion plans, we are seeking a Warehouse Operations Leader to manage our new state-of-the-art facility.

This pivotal role involves directing operational processes within the warehouse, ensuring the seamless flow of goods from receipt to delivery. A strong emphasis will be placed on delivering exceptional customer service while adhering to lean operational principles to maintain Mediq's status as an efficient, cost-effective operator.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary authority on-site for all matters related to Environmental, Health and Safety, as well as Legal and Regulatory Compliance.
  • Plan workloads to guarantee that goods are received, processed, stored, and dispatched in alignment with company-defined KPIs.
  • Develop and implement Continuous Improvement Plans focused on enhancing operational excellence across the warehouse.
  • Ensure strict adherence to company procedures, systems, and practices.
  • Oversee the delivery and change processes for new business or modifications from existing customers, effectively communicating with all impacted warehouse personnel.
  • Inspire the team to achieve productivity targets through effective communication, coaching, and team-building initiatives.
  • Provide accurate and timely reporting of activities using the Warehouse Management System, SAGE, Microsoft Office, and other IT systems.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, recommending actions to drive operational excellence.
  • Build and nurture stakeholder relationships across all levels of the organization to balance service delivery, operational excellence, and effective cost management.
  • Collaborate with peers to share best practices and enhance capability and performance across all shifts.
  • Foster a customer-first culture, employing innovative strategies to meet customer needs and translating business strategy into daily operations.
  • Instill a customer service ethos throughout the site, ensuring timely and efficient resolution of queries.
  • Utilize customer satisfaction data to inform site behavior and promptly address regional issues within established controls.
  • Take accountability for the Profit and Loss of the operational site.
  • Develop annual warehouse budgets for discussion with senior management.
  • Ensure that warehouse and operational expenses remain within budgetary constraints.

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will be an experienced leader with a proven track record in managing multiple stakeholders, complex supply chains, and comprehensive project management.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills, along with excellent interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in computer systems, with a high degree of accuracy in numerical tasks.
  • Robust IT, data, and critical analysis skills.
  • A structured and organized approach to personal time management.
  • Full leadership accountability for a function or operation, with visibility to the strategic leadership of the organization.
  • Experience in making autonomous decisions within a busy warehouse environment, particularly in a 24-hour operational setting.
