About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Social Worker to join our redesigned Child Protection Team in North Ayrshire Council. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting families and children in need.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with families and children to identify and address their needs
  • Develop and implement effective support plans to promote positive outcomes for children and families
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of Signs of Safety and Safe and Together models
  • Participate in the redesign of key C&F paperwork to support practitioners in working collaboratively with families
  • Work towards building effective, qualitative relationships with children and families to ensure the best outcomes for the whole family

Requirements

  • Experience in children and families fieldwork
  • Completion of the five-day child protection training
  • Sound knowledge and skill base in relation to understanding complex issues surrounding child protection work
  • Ability to work collaboratively with families and children
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
