Electrical Controls Field Engineer

Are you a skilled Electrical Controls Field Engineer with a background in Electrical Hardware, PLC Programming, and Electrical Schematics?

This permanent position provides a competitive salary range of £35,000 to £45,000, along with a flexible work schedule.

You will have the chance to travel and engage with clients across various locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and specification of electrical control systems for high-pressure hydraulic equipment
  • PLC system design and programming for control applications
  • Collaborate with clients on specifications and design
  • Prepare and present proposals to potential clients
  • Research and liaise with suppliers regarding technology needs
  • Provide technical support and pre-sales information to the sales team

Required Skills:

  • HND/Degree or equivalent apprenticeship
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar position
  • Familiarity with Siemens S7 (TIA Portal) is advantageous
  • Proficient in PLC Programming, including Ladder and High-Level Programming (SCL)
  • Experience with WinCC and HMI design
  • Understanding of electrical controls legislation (Regs, LV Directive) is essential
  • Knowledge of Rockwell PLC platforms is a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Office Tools)
