Job Opportunity

X4 Life Sciences is collaborating with a pioneering Cell and Gene company to find a skilled QC Analytical Scientist to join their London-based team. The successful candidate will be responsible for testing gene therapy products and associated materials used for manufacturing to EU and FDA GMP requirements.

The role is site-based in London, and we're offering a competitive salary of £37,000-£42,000 per annum, depending on experience level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct testing of gene therapy products in accordance with product specifications to ensure timely completion within the production schedule.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring calibration and suitability for use in alignment with the test schedule.
  • Record and investigate out-of-specifications, non-conformances, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Control team to maintain information flow, ensure effective communication, and update information folders with the latest version.
  • Maintain QC facilities to meet GMP requirements, conduct necessary checks to support health authority, customer, or stakeholder site visits.
  • Support internal or external audits as required.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Human Health or Sciences or equivalent relevant work experience in the pharmaceutical or regulated industry.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience of a GMP environment and quality control within a pharmaceutical or regulated industry.
  • Proficiency in relevant knowledge areas, including EU and FDA regulations, GMP/GLP/GCP, Lean Manufacturing, and Six-Sigma.
