Depot Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced Depot Manager to join our team at Brook Street NMR. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our depot in Huntly.
Key Responsibilities:- Depot Operations: Oversee the safe and compliant operation of the depot, ensuring all activities are carried out in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Stock Control and Maintenance: Manage the receipt, storage, and dispatch of fuel and other products, as well as maintaining the depot's equipment and vehicles.
- Fuel Loading and Offloading: Coordinate the loading and offloading of fuel and other products, ensuring efficient and safe operations.
- Liaising with Suppliers: Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, ensuring timely delivery of products and services.
- Health and Safety: Manage health and safety matters, including risk assessments, training, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Site Security: Oversee site security, including access control, CCTV, and alarm systems.
- Vehicle Movements: Coordinate vehicle movements, including pickups, deliveries, and repairs.
- Commissioning and Decommissioning: Coordinate the commissioning and decommissioning of road tankers, ensuring all activities are carried out safely and efficiently.
- System and Equipment Verification: Verify the functionality of systems and equipment before handing over to drivers for field testing.
- Strong Organisational Skills: Manage the Huntly-based fleet, including overseeing administrative tasks and vehicle confirmations.
- Strong People Management Skills: Lead and motivate a team of depot staff, ensuring high levels of productivity and customer satisfaction.
- CPC Qualification: Ideally hold a CPC qualification, demonstrating a high level of knowledge and expertise in transportation management.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Coordinate across the business with clients and suppliers, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Health and Safety Reporting Background: Have a strong background in health and safety reporting, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Knowledge of ISO and Quality Management: Have a good understanding of ISO and quality management principles, ensuring high levels of quality and customer satisfaction.
- Salary: £30k - £38k depending on experience.
