Head of Computer Science

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dynamic and innovative Head of Computer Science to join our team in Inner London.

About the Role:

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Computer Science teacher who is ready to take on a leadership role. As the Head of Computer Science, you will lead and develop a high-performing Computer Science department, mentor and support a team of talented Computer Science teachers, and collaborate with colleagues across the school to promote a culture of innovation and creativity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a high-performing Computer Science department.
  • Mentor and support a team of talented Computer Science teachers.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the school to promote a culture of innovation and creativity.
  • Play a key role in shaping the school's IT strategy by sitting on the school's IT steering group alongside the Headteacher, Trust directors, and Deputy Head.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Proven experience as a successful Computer Science teacher
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A passion for teaching and learning
