Role Responsibilities:
- Efficiently input all sales orders into the designated system on a daily basis, adhering to deadlines.
- Identify and resolve any customer order inquiries in collaboration with the customer service team.
- Liaise with materials control regarding special requirement orders to ensure material availability.
- Collaborate with production planning to confirm production capacity aligns with order deadlines.
- Consult with finance to verify customer account status prior to processing orders.
- Work with transport to ensure capacity meets required delivery dates.
- Generate accurate quotations and proforma invoices as necessary.
- Ensure precise pricing and conduct price reconciliations.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proficient in computer usage and numeracy.
- Experience in data entry and processing.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, preferably Sage.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Strong attention to detail and articulate communication skills.
- Positive attitude with the ability to take initiative.
- Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
