Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Kitchen Team: In the absence of senior colleagues, you will be responsible for leading the kitchen team and ensuring that all food production meets the highest standards.
  • Support the Production Team: You will provide support to the production team, including directing the preparation and duties of commis chefs, chef de parties, and other kitchen staff.
  • Drive Service Excellence: You will work closely with the FOH team to drive service excellence and ensure that all customers receive a high-quality dining experience.
  • Train and Develop: You will work with the kitchen team to train, guide, and develop new skills, ensuring that all team members are equipped to meet the demands of the role.
  • Monitor Sanitation Practices: You will monitor sanitation practices to ensure that all employees follow standards and regulations, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
  • Prepare and Present Food: You will prepare, produce, and present food to the highest standard, ensuring that all dishes meet the required quality and presentation standards.

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 2/3 or Equivalent Experience: You will have a minimum of NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent experience working in a busy kitchen environment.
  • Basic IT Skills: You will have basic IT skills, including Microsoft packages experience.
  • Menu Planning and Production: You will have experience in menu planning and production, including bulk cooking.
  • Enthusiasm to Develop: You will have the enthusiasm to develop and learn new skills, with a willingness to take on new challenges and responsibilities.
