Job Title: Field Service Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team at HSB Technical Ltd. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering a wide range of field services, including commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and retrofitting of VSD systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Commissioning and Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair faults, including component-level repairs, and reactivating low voltage (LV) and medium voltage (MV) drives, as well as their air- and liquid-cooled ancillary equipment.
  2. Service Planning and Scheduling: Procure spare parts and manage the planning and scheduling of service work.
  3. Planned Maintenance and Upgrades: Perform planned maintenance, overhauls, upgrades, and retrofits of VSD systems.
  4. Commissioning and Installation: Commission and bring new and upgraded drive system installations online.
  5. Modification and Design: Make modifications to existing drive system installations and collaborate closely with the electrical and control systems design team to plan, design, and deliver both new and retrofit solutions for marine propulsion systems, offshore production systems, and offshore construction mission equipment.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  1. Experience: Extensive experience in the commissioning, servicing, repair, and retrofitting of LV and MV drives, specifically in marine applications.
  2. Knowledge: Familiarity with VSD systems from major manufacturers, such as ABB, Siemens, Danfoss (Vacon), and GE (Converteam).
  3. Travel and Training: A full, clean driving license is essential, and offshore training (BOSIET) will be provided for offshore assignments.
  4. International Travel: Willingness to travel internationally at short notice.
