Job Overview

Field Engineer - Medical Scales

Location: South East England

Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 + company vehicle, overtime compensation, performance bonus, 25 days of annual leave, and opportunities for advancement.

Position Summary

A prominent manufacturer specializing in medical-grade weighing instruments and various medical apparatus is seeking a field-based Calibration Technician to enhance their expanding workforce.

Key Responsibilities

As a Calibration and Test Engineer, your primary duties will involve testing and calibrating medical-grade weighing devices, including:

  • Paediatric measuring systems
  • Infant scales
  • Wheelchair scales
  • Flat scales
  • Body composition scales

To perform these tasks, you will utilize weights and must be physically capable of maneuvering up to 150kg on a trolley.

There is potential for career progression into a Field Service Engineer position, where you will be responsible for repairing medical devices.

Travel Requirements

As a Field Technician, you will travel throughout the South East England region, including frequent visits to various customer locations such as hospitals, clinics, care facilities, and other medical establishments.

Occasionally, you may need to travel beyond your primary area to support team members, which may involve overnight stays.

Working Hours

Your working hours will be Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:45 PM, including travel time. Overtime will be compensated at a standard rate for hours worked beyond this schedule.

Occasional Saturday morning work may be required, compensated at a higher rate.

Compensation Package

Qualifications
