Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Divisional Lead Nurse to join our team at Bupa. As a key member of our nursing leadership team, you will be responsible for the clinical and operational management of our Inpatient Surgical and Adult Outpatient services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strong clinical leadership and act as a role model for all nursing staff.
  • Ensure that standards of care are defined, delivered, and monitored in line with relevant regulatory and professional standards.
  • Implement and maintain a robust clinical governance system to assure patients of the highest standard of care.
  • Accountable for ensuring that all safety alerts and national guidance is implemented and adhered to.
  • Act as a change agent and innovator, promoting an effective change culture within the nursing, medical and multi-professional teams.
  • Provide clinical advice to nurses, doctors and clinical professions throughout the organization.
  • Participate in the development and facilitation of new procedures, techniques and protocols.
  • Carry out specialist audits to assess the clinical effectiveness of each unit.
  • Participate in benchmarking with other private and NHS hospitals to ensure person-centered practice.
Requirements
  • NMC Registered Nurse Level 1
  • Teaching and Mentoring qualification
  • Financial and performance management skills
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Familiarity with national guidance and adherence to NPSA, NICE, NECPOD
