Job Title: Project Finance Analyst

Join Pontoon, a leading employment consultancy, as a Project Finance Analyst and play a crucial role in supporting our IT portfolio investments to achieve our ambitious goals.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with our Delivery Managers, corporate finance teams, and stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of IT projects. As a Project Finance Analyst, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing financial guidance and support to Project Managers and Solution Engineering Managers to ensure good financial management practices are adhered to.
  • Working with the Portfolio Finance Lead to ensure guidance on committed and transactional spend is followed by projects.
  • Supporting and guiding Project Forecasts, both within year and future financial years, to provide an overview of budgets and forecasts.
  • Collaborating with Business Consultants to determine future pipeline projects and their potential financial implications.
  • Acting as a point of contact for financial queries from portfolio stakeholders.
  • Supporting the creation of investment papers and providing financial challenge.
  • Ensuring that supporting month-end narratives for key financial metrics are captured by project management.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Direct experience of a broad range of finance processes and best practices.
  • Excellent analytical skills with an eye for detail.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills to explain complex financial narratives effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Commercial focus, understanding of the cost and value drivers of IT and the Business.
  • Customer focus, ability to interact with the IT Project Management community to benefit the end-to-end result.
  • Ability to build successful working relationships and partnerships with IT Programme Managers, Project Managers, and other stakeholders.
