GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate Geography Teacher to join a forward-thinking school in a long-term position. As a Geography Teacher, you will be responsible for guiding students through the fascinating study of the earth's landscapes, environments, and the relationships between people and their surroundings.
Key Responsibilities:- Lesson Planning and Delivery: Plan and deliver engaging Geography lessons that cover a wide range of topics from physical geography to human-environment interactions.
- Teaching Methods: Use a variety of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles and ensure all students can access the curriculum.
- Critical Thinking and Analysis: Encourage students to think critically about global issues, fostering a sense of curiosity and awareness about the world.
- Student Progress and Feedback: Assess and track student progress, providing feedback to support their learning journey.
- Collaboration and Teamwork: Collaborate with other faculty members to enhance the Geography curriculum and contribute to school-wide initiatives.
- Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Geography.
- Experience: Proven experience as a Geography Teacher at the secondary level.
- Subject Knowledge: A strong understanding of geographical concepts and the ability to make them accessible and engaging for students.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
- Commitment to Inclusivity: A commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
