Maintenance Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at our Peterborough facility. As a key member of our Engineering team, you will play a vital role in the development and maintenance of our manufacturing plant.

Main Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain plant equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Conduct regular assessments to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Liaise with production teams to ensure timely start-up of plant and minimize disruptions.
  • Prepare estimates and requisitions for equipment maintenance and repairs.
  • Manage small projects and assist with major projects as required.
  • Ensure compliance with company quality, food safety, health and safety, and environmental requirements.
  • Coordinate activities with outside engineers, contractors, and vendors.

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Working experience in the food or consumer products industry, with a good track record of acquiring engineering skills and continuous learning.
  • A solid grounding in food handling safe practices.
  • PC literate, with experience of MS Word, Lotus Notes, and Excel spreadsheets.
  • A flexible attitude towards all engineering duties, with the ability to provide cover for other engineering functions.
